How big is the house?

The house is 1,800 sq. feet. The master is so large it almost comical; you could play badminton in it.

What are you looking for in a renter?

Friendly, financially-stable folk who will care for the home as if it were their own. I do check references and will request your last 3 cancelled rent or mortgage checks. This house is nicer than most of what is available in Asheville in this price range. It will go to a well qualified tenant.

What are you trying to avoid in your renters?

Groups of friends who must all combine their incomes to make the rent, (because they tend to move after only one year). College kids who party a lot, smokers, people with new pets, people with no job (unless you can show considerable financial independence.)

Can I smoke inside ?

Sorry, no, but there is a covered porch in the front.

When will the house be available?

The current tentant would like to vacate on May 15, 2011.

Can I rent-to-own?

Perhaps, make me an offer.

Does it have a basement?

No, but it does have a crawl-space under the floor; external access.

Does it have an attic?

Not a finished one, but Mellow Yellow does have a considerable storage space off the master.

Does is have a garage?

No, but it does have a large driveway and lots of parking.

Does it have a gas range?

No, but it does have a new electric range and all new appliances.

What makes you a cool landlord?

I have a sense of humor and am reasonable and negotiable.

Can I have a veggie garden?

Sure.

Is there a fenced-in yard for kids or a dog?

Yes.

How much are utilities?

This is effected by both your lifestyle AND the weather, but aprox. $60-$130/mo. for electr. depending on how much you use the heat and AC. Water, sewer and trash together should be around $30-40 /mo.

Can I have pets?

This is considered, on animal by animal basis. No puppies, no new/ young animals allowed. I'm concerned mostly about the hardwood floors and carpet. An outdoor pet would be an easier sell. An additional (refundable) deposit will be required.
